Not a sunrise, but a galaxy-rise

The Streets (Mike Skinner) has done some great stuff over the years, but nothing has ever quite matched his debut album, Original Pirate Material. Ironically this is also his least famous work. It does a great job demonstrating his musical diversity; "Weak Become Heroes" builds an artistic tension with the "same piano loops, over and over," while "Sharp Darts" showcases Skinner's ability to lay down a funky urban beat.

Blood of Heroes

This band is ridiculously hard to categorize. When they're not reggae-metal, they're industrial-ambient (the whole time with a dubstep beat). Fans of Godflesh, 65daysofstatic, or even Fear Factory should get a kick out of this one.
